How a card is earned
Play it in Phoneme World
One word, one card, press it and it lands on the shelf. Six on the
shelf and a pack opens with a card inside.
Fill it up in FILL
One card on the whole screen, one button, "I said it!" Color rises
with every say. The therapist sets how many says fill it.
Color it in
The card's own coloring sheet. Every say colors one piece, and a
finished sheet is the card.

The therapist's got it is the child's card. Send home carries the

What a card does
Earned in color, the rest in gray
The whole deck from day one. A child sees what is theirs and what
is still out there, without anyone saying a word about it.
Word, phrase, sentence, say it
Tap a card and it does its whole life. The press is the trial; six
presses open a pack and one card lands.
FILL: it fills as they say it
One card, one button. Color floods up with every say, the
therapist sets how many says fill it, a close one counts half, and a
full card is theirs.
Said in a sentence, it goes holographic
The same painting wears foil once the word has been said in a
sentence. Read from the practice, never handed out.
A binder you flip
Every deck is in it from the first visit, nine cards to a page,
greyed until earned. Never an empty book. The shelf beside it filters
by age or grade.

A talker a child would actually want to hold
Districts have to provide AAC by law, the systems that exist cost hundreds of dollars a seat, and their symbols are clip art collected over decades: a cartoon beside a photograph beside a stick figure, every one a separate picture to learn. All 70 of ours are drawn to one grid, in one hand, as vector, so they stay sharp on a printed board, a family can recolor the child on it to look like their own, and every word speaks in one recorded voice.
